Has anyone taken bupropion and chantix at the same time?
I've been taking bupropion for 2 months and today my doctor prescribed chantix as well. Has anyone else taken both at the same time

well i didn't take bupropian at same time as chantix,but i am using the nicotine patch with the chantix.for me it has helped a great deal tho the first few day on the chantix i was nauseated some, and constipated but that goes away soon enough.
I find it worrisome that your doctor has prescribed both, since the Chantix web site says that taking Chantix and other anti-smoking drugs (which bupropion is) is not recommended! Both seem to work the same way – increasing levels of dopamine in your brain I suspect that Pfizer came out with this because the patents on the others are or have expired.
